What is the hCG WEIGHT LOSS PROGRAM ?
 
The Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, also known as hCG for short, treatment consists of a very low calorie diet (VLCD) in combination with hCG hormone treatments. During the 23-40 day treatment you regularly take a small amount of hCG into your body. You can expect to lose between .5-1 lbs per day.

The hCG weight loss program serves to improve glandular and metabolic function while evoking fat loss and improvement of health. It is a ‘holistic’ program that encourages emotional and physical wellness which allows you to lose substantial stores of body fat and calibrate your metabolism.

Dr. Simeon's discovered that using small amounts of hCG it could reset and adjust the hypothalamus to operate at normal levels as well as burn the "mobile fat"; that is the fat that is stored around the hips, thighs, belly and upper arms. It will however leave the so called "structural fat", that can be found in the muscles and protects the organs, untouched. This way the excess fat will disappear even faster, the problem areas will be dealt with more efficiently and this way of losing weight.
 
Homeopathic hCG is a heavily diluted version of hCG containing only a miniscule amount of the hormone and meant to be delivered regularly over a period of time in consistent, small doses. In small amounts, men and women both produce hCG naturally in their bodies.

  • The hormone can also spark ovulation and increased fertility in women.
 
Who can use the diet?

The treatment works for almost everyone, young, old, male, female. You can use hCG if your BMI value is not lower than 20. Do NOT use hCG if you are pregnant or nursing.

Are there any side effects with using HCG?

There are no side effects associated with hCG. Very few experience slight headaches or dizziness for the first few days but this is extremely rare and mild. hCG has been used for weight loss for 50+ years, so there is plenty of evidence to back up its safety.

Why does this not have to be refrigerated?

This hCG does not have to be refrigerated because it is made in the homeopathic method and mixed with 20% usp alcohol as part of its liquid medium. The alcohol acts as a preservative and keeps the hCG active and effective. If you are not going to use an open bottle of hCG for a few days or several weeks, you should place the bottle in the refrigerator to hold its potency over longer periods.

How much weight can I expect to lose?

Weight loss varies between .5 pound and 3 pounds per day, with the average loss being 1-2 pounds per day for men since they usually lose faster then women, and .5-1 pound a day for women.

Is it healthy to lose 1-2 pounds a day with hCG?
 
While losing 1-2 pounds daily without the use of hCG would be unhealthy, the hCG in fact changes this.
You lose abnormal yellow fat and the weight loss comes directly from this fat loss and does not strip the body of the healthy fat.

Will I lose more weight if I use the injections instead of the homeopathic hCG?

Patients report the same results from both forms of hCG. The difference is that the injectable generally costs $600 plus for a 5 week program.

Are there specific foods I should or should not eat while on the diet?

Will I keep the weight off?

After the hCG diet, you will find your appetite has changed, your eating behavior will have changed and your body will of course, have changed. This is the perfect opportunity to adopt that healthy lifestyle to maintain your weight. You will find a minimum amount of exercise will be sufficient for maintaining a very healthy body- from yoga, to 15 minutes cardio a day, or whatever you enjoy, that gets your body moving. I personally recommend looking into burst training for best results.  With your hypothalamus reset, your metabolism will be different and you will be able to eat moderately without feeling the need to overeat. Amongst the people who have tried this program, 75 to 90% have had hardly any or no difficulty keeping their new, ideal weight.
 
After your last dosage of hCG, you must keep following the 500 calorie diet for two additional days after stopping the hCG. Otherwise you will risk gaining weight.

After your 23-40 day protocol it is imperative to do three weeks of no starch no sugar.

1-3 weeks off hCG: No Sugars and No starches, you can continue eating the same foods as the VLCD but increase your calories, adding fats, more protein, and vegetables.

3-6 weeks off hCG: Slowly add in sugars and starches

Why the 500 calorie diet?

hCG can cause your hypothalamus to mobilize the fat out of the fat storage locations so that it’s available for use. While you are only consuming 500 calories, your hypothalamus is continually releasing the fat stored in your body. Because of this, your body is actually operating on thousands of calories a day. The result is your body using thousands of calories from fat from your body each day, the reason hCG dieters lose 1-2 pounds of fat or more, per day.

Will I be hungry on 500 calories a day?
 
It is common for mild hunger during the first few days, however this will pass and by the 2nd week. You will find even very tiny servings, to be completely satisfying . This is partly due to your hypothalamus adjusting your metabolic rate, but largely due to the amount of calories circulating in your system from the fat being released. It is common that hCG dieters feel as though they are stuffing themselves in order to reach that 500 calorie limit.

What is the hypothalamus gland?

The hypothalamus gland moderates the thyroid, adrenals, fat storage, and more importantly, your metabolic rate.
 
How is the homeopathic hCG administered?

HCG is most effective when placed under your tongue. It comes in liquid form and the dropper is supplied with your hCG bottle, so there is no guess work in measuring. Studies have shown that using 10 drops 3 times per day is the most effective dosing.

What do you recommend if menstruation occurs while using the drops?

Dr. Simeons recommended that you stop taking the prescription hCG while on you cycle.

However with homeopathic we have found that many of our clients continue on the drops and protocol without any negative side effects reported.

Your body will probably retain excess water more during your cycle and you may not notice as much weight loss, however this will even itself out over time, try not to get discouraged. If you decide to stop taking the hCG during your cycle, but find your cravings or hunger intolerable, you can increase your protein by 1-2 oz on your heaviest days.
